If I share my wireless connection at my house, can all computers be online at the same time?

Using a router or wireless access point, you can have multiple computers online at the same time with no slow-down. If you are using a wireless router, you should be careful to ensure that you have enabled your security settings. Without enabling your wireless router’s security feature, your neighbors can share your wireless connection – thus slowing down your Internet speeds. If your home wireless network is not secure, your neighbors can possibly view your files, and you will also be more exposed to outside viruses from your neighbors’ computer. Also, any illegal or hacking activities that your neighbor might do can all be traced back to your Internet connection – a very serious issue. With a secure wireless router, you can keep the speed that you need, and not worry about your neighbor’s surfing activities. Wireless Hometown can install a wireless router when we install your service (for an additional hardware and installation fee), and we can secure your wireless router, so that you can safely run your home network.
